Jacquie Jensen, MSW, LIAC (Master Social Worker & Licensed Addictions Counselor)

I have 24 years experience treating Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, Stage of Life issues, couples counseling, and much more.  I am also passionate about providing a safe space for people who are spouses/partners of addicts.  I am an expert in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) developed by Albert Ellis, 12 Steps approach to recovery, and evidence-based and proven methods such as the Gorski Model of Relapse Prevention (GMRP), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). The GMRP is a system for treating substance use disorders and relapse prevention. It was developed by Terrence Gorski, who was a pioneer in the field, a person in recovery, and founded residential treatment centers all over the US.

I enjoy working with diverse personal philosophies or spiritualities. My therapeutic environment is inclusive, supportive and effective for persons of any culture, gender identity, sexual orientation and lifestyle, partnership style, family structure ability, learning style, and country of origin. I have experience with/ not limited to: Atheist/Humanist, Agnostic, Buddhist, Catholic, LDS, Protestant, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Metaphysical/New Age, Indigenous/Native American traditions.

I am currently developing curriculum for a virtual group, providing therapy from a nature based perspective. Please contact me if you are interested in the book and/or group when it comes out. I look forward to our time processing together.

Counseling & Therapy for ADHD in the Valley

Stephen Richie, M.Ed, MS, LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)

  • I offer individual counseling, and teen counseling for ages 12 years old and older. My focus is to provide support for individuals struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, Anger management, parenting, and career transitions, primarily using Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques. I started ADHD coaching for AZ Family Life Counseling & Coaching in 2017, and have additional knowledge of how executive function deficits affect everyday life.  Before earning my master's degree in counseling I was a Christian school & public school administrator, so I can assist parents in getting accommodations to help children improve academic performance in the classroom.

My goal is to help you become your best version of you by tapping into your God-given talents and internal sources of strength and knowledge. I recognize the blessings and challenges of having a mind that operates faster than normal, can be constantly racing, is easily distracted, loses track of time due to hyper focus, and difficulty managing emotions. My approach is supportive and structured within a nonjudgmental atmosphere. If welcome, I can incorporate Biblical concepts into therapy sessions.

Brains need nurturing, stimulation, and rewards to thrive. Together, we build a bank of working coping skills that include emotional regulation strategies, art therapy, mindfulness breathing techniques, guided imagery, progressive muscle relaxation methods, problem solving, target setting, and effective communication techniques. When you feel good about yourself you can conquer the world!
